Meet your New Direction Radio DJs/Presenters:
DJ Andy aka The 4 Horsemen
Andy has been a DJ for over 30 years hosting both Karaoke and disco shows around pubs and clubs in his local area of Ramsbottom.
A couple of years ago he met a couple of Internet DJs on one of their UK tours meeting listeners who tuned in to their shows.
He was asked to try out for a radio show, and has had the pleasure of presenting radio shows ever since.
Andy likes a full range of music, old and new, especially the quirky lesser known tunes.
He has a passion for Country music and enjoys sharing this love with the listeners (he has converted a few new Country fans!).
DJ Baz
DJ Baz started his DJ career 25 years ago.
At 16 he got his first set of decks and started DJing the pubs / clubs at 17 working 5/6 nights a week until around 2018.
He has held numerous residencies around Morecambe / Lancaster for 20+ years also hosting promotion nights around the north west with top DJs such as Brandon Block and Stu Allan.
After a chat with fellow Morecambe DJ and mentor DJ fossil he decided to take up radio late in 2024.
DJ Boo Bear
Sophie became part of the NDR team a few weeks after her Dad, DJ Graz, and she performed at the inaugural NDR weekender.
She presents “That Was The Week That Was (So It Was)” with her Dad.
(She’s a lot better than him).
Affectionately known as “Number 1” by those who matter.
DJ Emma H
Emma’s radio career began when she was asked to co-present a show with her friend on a local radio station. This led to her getting her own show which she ran for a couple of years.
Incidentally, when her Dad (DJ Hedz) covered for her whilst she was on exam leave, this led to him starting his own Radio career!
Her Dad then repaid the favour when he got involved in Internet based radio stations and Emma was persuaded to come back on air with her “e-Tunes” show.
She now presents this weekly show, fitting it in with her busy Uni and work commitments.
DJ Fnlysn
Having only started presenting Oct ’22, Richard has found the enjoyment of playing music for others a great pastime.
Enjoying music from the 60’s through to present day, he has been lucky enough to work alongside some great DJs that have widened his musical knowledge from Reggae & Ska, Country, Electronic 80’s & Funk & Soul to name but a few.
Moving on he is looking forward to bringing more enjoyment to others through the music he plays on New Direction Radio.
DJ Fossil
Born Liverpool, John White, is now better known as D.J. Fossil, for obvious reasons.
Probably the oldest on the station at 76 years young (but age is just a number, right!).
Fossil started playing publicly in 1968 in a speakeasy style cellar club in Liverpool, then progressed to nightclubs in the city centre.
3 times retired, with more “comebacks” than Tyson Fury, John is now residing on the edge of the Morecambe Bay Triangle where he brings you his shows as part of the NDR family.
DJ Graz
Graz started DJing in 1994 out of a deranged belief he could be Morecambe’s Pete Tong.
Under the Jedi-like tutelage of fellow NDR DJ Fossil he became a mainstay of the local DJ scene with a reputation for a remix!!! The longer the better….
Whilst he has been in self-enforced exile in a grotto far far away, he has now returned with NDR to present the new midweek House party (Humpday).
He also often talks to squirrels for no reason whatsoever.
DJ Hedz
DJ Hedz began his DJ journey when he was asked to cover his Daughter Emma’s show on a local radio station whilst she sat exams.
Off the back of this, he was asked if he fancied his own show and “Mixtape” was born.
After a couple of years of doing local radio, Hedz moved on to Internet based stations, spending a year at his first, then a further 2 at his last station.
His spiritual home is 80s but he has presented shows across many genres and decades from Rock to Pop, Soul to Indie.
Hedz is now looking forward to bringing you more great music as a part of the New Direction Radio team.
DJ John Foster
John Foster presents Woodstock to Punk Rock, a celebration of the music that shaped a generation.
A former pirate radio presenter and mobile DJ from the North West, John returned to broadcasting after a decades-long break when a station invited experienced presenters to submit demos.
They liked his demo, and he’s been behind the mic ever since.
Blending classic hits, forgotten favourites, guilty pleasures and musical gems from the 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond, Woodstock to Punk Rock is a nostalgic journey through the soundtrack of John’s school years and the golden age of popular music.
DJ Mike
Mike commenced presenting radio alongside DJ Shaun in January 2026 on The Golden Era Radio Show.
Having a huge passion for funk,soul, R&B, disco, dance and groove styles, besides 1980s and 90s music, he started doing The Groove Grove on NDR in August 2026.
Mike has joined the NDR family of DJs to bring you his great shows on our station.
DJ Shaun
DJ Shaun started doing internet radio in January 2026 alongside his co-host Michael. He did not have any previous background in any DJ areas like karaoke or disco.
The idea of them being internet DJs was formulated when watching Top of the Pops shows on BBC 4 on Friday nights and their inspiration was having a duo on the show because they loved listening to Mark and Lard.
Michael and Shaun decided that they should do something like this.
They were on a previous online radio station for 6 months when unfortunately the station was shut down unexpectedly.
New Direction Radio picked up Michael and Shaun with big help from DJ John Foster and they are here entertaining the audience with their wacky humour and great tunes!
